FCC Amateur Radio Testing every Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Yonkers PAL Ham Radio Club.

ARRL VE "Last Chance Extra" Test Session Saturday, June 30th, 2012.

We Call this VE Session "Last Chance Saturday" because on Sunday July 1st, 2012 (the next day) the Extra Class exam changed to all new questions.

 This was the very last chance someone who studied the old pool could become an extra without starting on the new question pool of over 700 questions.

The Yonkers PAL Ham Radio Club was the only ARRL VE test session in the greater New York City area to be testing on this day.

After realizing we were testing on June 30th, ARRL Hudson Division Director Joyce Birmingham passed our info on to inquiring hams.

The result was Lowell S. Vant Slot driving from Lords Valley, PA to Yonkers, NY. This is a 105 mile 2 hour drive each way!

The Yonkers PAL Ham Radio Club administers the exam to earn your FCC Amateur Radio license through the ARRL. We give the exam EVERY Saturday at 2:00 PM in the PAL Ham Radio classroom. Walk in's are OK but it's best to call first. The classroom can be reached at (914)375-1080.

Absent was Carol W. Rapp K3CWR, hospitalized with walking pneumonia.
